4.5 steamy stars!

The blurb

What would you do if you were granted millions of pounds and a face that melts the underwear off of any woman? Meet Theodore Ellis, the business man who parties like a rock star, and has more women than he has room on his bedpost to put the notches.

Meet Lilly Parker. With a difficult past; Lilly is cold, closed off and emotionally unavailable in every way. Don’t go thinking she’s the sweet and innocent victim though, she plays the game better than most men, and is the original use and abuse woman.

She’s built her walls ten feet high and topped with razor wire, but Theo is relentless in the face of a challenge and Lilly finds herself besieged by him. Can he get in her pants? Or will the unsuspecting man whore go a step further and finally tear down her walls? Unlikely.

This is no hearts and flowers love story, it is a battle of wills as a woman who trusts no-one denies a man who has never been denied.

Cue fireworks as female sass meets alpha male tenacity.

Besieged will make you laugh, fantasize and perhaps even shed a tear.

The review

That was one fantastic steamy read! I really loved this book!

An alpha male character is something quite common when reading contemporary romance books. But when this alpha playboy is turned down by the girl who might be his match (at least a serious challenger in the ‘no attach’ contest), things definitely get more interesting!

Lilly was one of the strongest female characters I’ve read about. Everytime she threw Theo (aka the self-assured, arrogant, yet completely charming millionaire) off balance, I found myself cheering “You go girl, make me proud!”
It was so refreshing to read about this smart girl resisting the irresistible man.

I remain completely professional with him. “Well, we’ll have a lot of business to sort out over the next week.”
I hear him chuckle quietly down the phone. “Oh, we most certainly do, you can be sure of it.” […] Damn it, I walked right into that one.

The story was told alternatively from both Lilly’s and Theo’s points of view, which was really enjoyable. It was great to get to see what they thought and the way they reacted to each other. I also loved the development of their relationship throughout the book.

Now steamy romance also means steamy sex scenes… Those were really well written to me. When reading books with lots of sex scenes, I usually get bored. It’s either repetitive or “over-creative” (to prevent from being repetitive). It was not the case here, and that’s one of the facts that I loved about this book. I never got tired of them.

Well, everything about this book was perfect… until the end! And this huge, huge… I mean, **HUGE** CLIFFHANGER! It left screaming at my Kindle (though I had guessed what the cliffhanger would be). I screamed even more when, on the next page, I saw I would have to wait till september to read Conquered (book #2). Can you tell that I can’t wait to read more about Lilly and Theo?

I realise while I’ve spent so long trying to build my walls and keep the world out, Theodore Ellis hase besieged me. He hasn’t broken my walls down, no, they’re still firmly in place, but he has scaled them and stands next to me inside my fortress.

About the author

I’m a 24 year old Indie Author from England. I’m a real country bumpkin and I love to read. I can easily finish a book in an afternoon!

My love of literature lead me to write my first book Besieged. I have quite a cutting sense of humour, and HATE soppy love stories. I like sass and fire in my characters.

This is what Besieged is, sass and cutting humour.

I hope you’ll read it so I can be the next E.L James and just write kinky books all day. Ha.

I love being an author and it makes my day when someone sends me a message telling me they enjoyed my book. If even just one person enjoyed it then it was worth writing it.
